Palestine International Festival for Music and Dance (PIFMD)

Palestine International Festival for Music and Dance is a creative cultural and art tool which communicates with the outside world and contributes towards breaking the cultural siege which has been imposed on Palestine and Palestinian people for decades by the Israeli occupation. PIFMD was launched in 1993 to be the first international festival in Palestine since the 50’s and continues until today to be well attended. It is a popular festival of dance and music; it is able to speak to different audiences from different social backgrounds, and attracts annually more than 15,000 audiences. PIFMD has gathered over the years tens of renowned Palestinian, Arab and international dance and music groups.
